MRI Results
We got Hyrum's MRI results this week. It had been a little over two weeks since we have heard anything. Before Hyrum went for the MRI Caleb gave him a Priesthood blessing "I bless your body that it will be able to fight this." I specifically remember him saying this statement. What all over our doctors thought was a Benine tumor in the leg "Osteoastoma" turned out to be a blood nutrient vessel that we all have. Some people (rare percentage) have a vessel that is larger than normal. That is what they discovered with Hyrum. I am convinced the Priesthood is what made the difference.
Summer Fun
We really live it up in the summer. It is finally starting to get hot and the pools opened up. We swam twice in two different pools this week. Hyrum began swimming lessons on Monday which he loved. I started adult tennis this week and have met a few more friends. Caleb and I will be playing more tennis on our dates.
We spend lots of time at the city splash pad, the parks, we go on lots of hikes, attend farmers markets, fish at lake Bentonville and attend "First Fridays" the city has once a month. We enjoy lot's of bike rides, sprinklers, and as much outdoor time as we can get. It just feels like one big party!!! Now is the best time to do it while it is fairly cool.
Walmart Shareholder Week
"It's that Time of Year" in Bentonville when people come from all over the world for the big shareholders meeting and events. Caleb spends much of his time during the week giving Sams Club Home Office tours to a lot of people. This year he was also a bus captain. It seems like the city doubles in population during this time every year.
The meeting was pretty awesome. Free donuts, candy bars, chips, Little Debbie snacks, soda, were everywhere. I brought my purse so I could load up for the three and a half hour meeting. We were entertained by: Sarah McLaughlin, Harry Conic Jr,, Florida Georgia Line, Ferrel (The Happy Song) Aloe Blanc, and Robin Thicke. The only singer I was mostly familiar with was Sarah McLauklin. Harry Conic Jr. did a great job being the MC.
They give an "Entrepreneur of the Year" award out to someone every year. This year an LDS man in our stake received it for finding ways to improve the meat. It was pretty neat to see him up there with his family.

MRI, Temple Trip and Memorial Day
Last Thursday was both a dramatic and spiritually exhausting day for our entire family. We made the family trip up to the Kansas City Children's Hospital for Hyrum's MRI. We loaded up the car after Hyrum had a big omelet and we had to fast until our 12:00 MRI appointment. Hyrum had to fast for the MRI, Caleb and I fasted for guidance as to whether or not the MBA program s right for us at this point in our lives.
The MRI lasted about an hour and then we went to the Temple. We happened to arrive at the temple in between shifts so we all took a nap on the beautiful temple grounds. We ended up breaking our fast at Texas Roadhouse which was yummy. We finally made it home about eleven thirty and night. It was a long day but we were finally able to get the MRI done. Now waiting for results.
"Ra" or Grandpa Shiley came for the weekend. We were all so excited he came. Hyrum wanted to go camping but Caleb and I didn't want to go camping with the rest of the world, so we set up tent in our backyard and had our own weenie roast on our fire pit. Best of all was I got to sleep in my bed while the boys roughed it in the backyard. Don't get me wrong I went backpacking a few weeks ago and don't mind sleeping on the ground. It was just nice to send the boys out back and have some quiet personal time.
Saturday we went on a hike to a waterfall up at Tanyard creek. Talk about gorgeous! The weather is just right as of now. Not too hot and humid. After our hike we stopped at the Walmart to Go gas station for some yummy ice cream bars. To top off our great fun filled Saturday we went to the Lego Movie. Since then we have been singing "Everything is Awesome!!! Everything is cool when your part of a team." Caleb loved seeing the same stuff he played with when he was a kid. He has thousands of legos and lego sets which he still has and will pull out when the boys are older.
Sunday after church we watch Seventeen Miracles as a family. I think not one of us had a dry eye when the movie was over. There was one point in the movie Hyrum looked at us, smiled and wanted to cuddle up. We know he felt the Holy Ghost. How can you not in that movie! So grateful for the gospel and our testimonies of it!!!
Monday we went "worm drowning" or fishing and didn't catch a thing but Hyrum had fun running up and down the dock. Caleb cooked an amazing BBQ and we happened to watch "Free Birds" which is a Thanksgiving show. How random is that! The men watched Gods and Generals that night while I put together my art camp that I am doing this summer. My philosophy is that if you have seen one battle scene in those movies you've pretty much seen them all. This week we is Wal-mart shareholders week. Super excited for the fun events to come!!
